Our Volkswagen van doesn't just look great, it’s also an environmentally responsible choice. The battery in the electric van is charged to 100% before you set off, which gives you a theoretical range of 333 kilometres. We also offer a portable charging box as an optional extra.

Practical details

‘Ride to freedom’ is not just a buzzword at HC-Rent. We love to give our customers as much freedom as possible and rent out our electric campervan for all kinds of occasions. However, there are a few rules you need to follow to be sure everything will go well.

It goes without saying that a driving licence is required! For rental you must also be at least 23 years old.

Deposit depending on rental duration.

The rental includes a cleaning cost of €120 by default. However, if the campervan is returned to us in Kluisbergen in sparkling condition, we won’t apply this charge!

If the vehicle is returned later than agreed, we will charge you a supplement of €50/hour for the delay, as late returns can create problems for the next rentals.

The vehicle we’re renting out at HC-Rent is the iconic Volkswagen T1 – but in hypermodern electric version. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz – that’s its full name – can take five passengers and 1,121 litres of luggage. Alternatively, the second row of seats can be folded down to add either a bed or additional luggage space (2,205 litres).

The van can be collected in Kluisbergen. The address is ‘Oudenaardebaan 60, bus 3’. Look out for the sign with the name ‘Hannes Catteuw’ (no, the initials HC there are not a coincidence). Collection is from 4pm, and the van should always be returned by 10am.

If you would like different pick-up and return times, please let us know to discuss this.

The van is always charged to 100% battery capacity when it is sent out, but we don’t ask you to charge it before returning it.

Of course! While you have the van, you have complete freedom over where you take it. With the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, you’re all ready for a road trip to the mountains. The breathtaking views come for free.
